Technical Co-Founder & CEO

Babak is a 20+ year engineering leader who has built and scaled products for early-stage startups as well as Activision, Riot Games, Electronic Arts, and Live Nation. He specializes in taking products from 0→1 and architecting high-scale systems. At Aplaix, he brings deep technical expertise and a product-first mindset to reimagining how teams identify genuine talent.

Has led the development of over 31 SKUs across multiple platforms, including five featured iOS apps, four featured Google Play apps, and a #2 ranked VR title.

Our Story

Aplaix was founded by a team of seasoned technologists and operators who have spent the past 20 years building and scaling teams for startups and global companies like Riot Games and Activision. After two decades of hiring, one thing is clearer than ever: today’s recruiting process is more broken than at any point we’ve seen.

The rise of AI has given both hiring managers and candidates powerful new tools—but the hiring system itself wasn’t built to handle them. Managers are now inundated with floods of AI-generated, perfectly tailored résumés, and “auto-apply” tools allow candidates to blast out applications for roles they may not even be qualified for. Meanwhile, qualified applicants struggle to stand out against a sea of AI-polished competitors who can auto-customize résumés, cover letters, and even interview responses.

At Aplaix, we believe the entire hiring workflow needs to be re-imagined from the ground up. We’re leveraging frontier technologies to rebuild the process in a way that’s fair, efficient, and aligned to real capabilities—not just polished applications. Our mission is simple: to bring clarity back to hiring for both companies and candidates.
